The second Montpelier Villa youth coaching summit was held in December 2016 at Fortress Falmer. After the success of the first summit held at BACA in the summer of the same year, this latest session focused on teaching around the FA's four corner model and the Five Cs, the five essential mental skills needed for young footballers and was hosted by Villa's under 10 manager and UEFA B coach, Chris Day.

The session featured an hour of classroom based presentation and discussion with various Villa coaches and it also featured a presentation from some of the Villa under 10s. The second part of the session was a practical with the full under 10 squad on the 3G at Falmer in the freezing cold!

Tony and Chris setting the u10s creative challenges

Well done to all the boys, Chris and the coaches for an excellent session where we continue to develop our coaches and the Villa philosophy and we look forward to the next summit in slightly warmer conditions later in the year!
