Having played our Hosts only a matter of a few weeks ago, it was a much improved side that turned out for them this time round. Having said that the Villa raced into a 3-1 lead within the first half hour and looked on course for a comfortable final game of the season thanks to a headed brace from skipper Dave MacNeill and good individual goal from Sam Terry.

However the game changed on 30 minutes when the aforementioned Sam Terry was quite correctly given a straight red for disputing an off side decision in quite ungentlemanly terms. This gave the Opposition the lift they needed and they went on to level up at 3-3 with goals either side of the break.

Villa re-grouped and responded well, retaking the lead through a fantastic top corner free kick from Aaron Blackwell. Only for this to be cancelled out 10 minutes later as the Hosts made it 4-4. Then with the time ticking away and only 2 minutes to go right back Matt Harrison surged forward and (not for the first time this season) delivered a fine mis-hit cross that sailed over the keeper and into the net to nick the winner.

Great character shown by those that played an hour with 10 men and a fitting end to a great season. A top half finish in the Club's first season at this level and plenty more to come next time round for sure.
