With so many missing due to holidays, injury and the early kick off (6.15pm) this was always going to be a tough ask, especially when teamsheets were exchanged and it became apparent that our Hosts had little in the way of such problems.
Still, an opportunity for those who were selected to wear the blue and white to impress. Sadly an opportunity that too few took. With three or four notable individual exceptions we were second best in every department, not least desire. And in fairness we were lucky to get away with just five against a strong Rottingdean side who must have thought Christmas had come early.
Having said all that, this was the first poor performance for a long time, and these things happen. We dust ourselves down and look for response on Saturday in our last Home game of the season with the visit of AFC Roffey Club.
