After the great away win at Three Bridges the previous Sunday , Villa entertained local rivals Hove Park Colts on a perfect pitch on a perfect day. Villa controlled the opening exchanges and led through a Francis Schecter goal within 10 minutes. Although Hove Parks Colts looked threatening going forward, the back line of Adam Franzen Jones, Matthew Williamson, Harley Damario and Sam Chandler kept them at bay throughout a 1st half where Oliver Cass was a constant threat going forward  and Villa were dissapointed to go in only 1-0 up at the break.

The 2nd half saw Villa take further control of the game within the 1st 15 mins with a trademark flowing move started by the keeper and skipper for the day Rudy Stilgoe and finished by Billy Pinnock at the far post.

The middle period of the 2nd half saw Villa misplace too many passes which allowed HPC back into the game, and a break away goal and a penalty made for a nervous last 10 minutes but Villa showed great character and an Oliver Bayliss strike deservedly won the game to put Villa top of the table.
